Laurie Coleman - Definition and Overview

Laurie Coleman is the wife of current Minnesota US Senator Norm Coleman. She is an aspiring actor, model, and mother of two teenagers, Jacob and Sara Coleman. Because she fears losing potential acting roles, she declines to release her age.

Her acting credits include small roles in NBC's miniseries Kingpin, a 2004 made-for-tv film Homeland Security, the 2002 film 3 Days of Rain, the 1999 film The First of May and the 1998 made-for-tv film A Chance of Snow. She also had a role in the Twin Cities production of The Vagina Monologues.

In fall of 2004 she was featured in a photo spread for the Washington Post in which she appeared in boudoir-type photographs. In the interview for the photo-shoot, she said that she enjoys modeling, long walks on the beach and quiet dinners in her home.

Ever since her husband's tenure as mayor of Saint Paul, Minnesota, she has maintained a separate residence in Los Angeles, California allowing her to pursue her acting career while her husband is in Washington, DC and her children are in St. Paul, Minnesota.
