Lawyer Sharky - Definition and Overview |
|
|
Sylvester J. Sharky (sometimes written Sharkey) is a fictional lawyer created by Carl Barks and used in several Donald Duck and Scrooge McDuck stories.
In the "The Golden Helmet" (1952), the first story he appears in, he provides legal assistance to Azure Blue, who claims to be emperor of North America, because he is a descendent of a viking who discovered America in 901.
Sharky often speaks a juridical Fake Latin, like "Hocus, locus, jocus," which means: To the landlord belong the doorknobs."
Lawyer Sharky seldom has a large role, but he often appears as cameo.
