Lee-on-the-Solent is a small seaside town in Hampshire about five miles west of Portsmouth, on the coast of the Solent.
It is known best as being the location of the Royal Naval Air Station known as HMS Daedalus (previously known as HMS Ariel).
It is often referred to simply as 'Lee-on-Solent'.
