Lee Island Coast is a beach community in southwestern Florida, USA. The region includes Fort Myers, Sanibel, Captiva, Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Estero, Pine Island, Boca Grande, North Fort Myers and Lehigh Acres.
In February 2005, the Lee County Visitor and Convention Bureau dropped "Lee Island Coast" from its advertising, in favour of "the beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel".[1] (http://cityguide.news-press.com/fe/Calendar/Stories/030925_tourism.asp)
