LEN FORD is a Hall-Of-Fame defensive end who played his final season in 1958 as a Green Bay Packer. His Hall-Of-Fame credentials were gained previously by his sterling All-Pro caliber play as a vital member of the powerful Cleveland Brown teams of the 1950's. Unfortunately for him, he ended his career as a member of Ray "Scooter" McLean's pitiful Packer team, who finished the 1958 NFL season as the NFL's worst with a 1-win, 10-loss, 1-tie season. That poor 1-10-1 Packer roster managed to produce 7 other future Hall-Of-Famers: Jim Ringo, Bart Starr, Forrest Gregg, Paul Hornung (who has the NFL's all-time single season scoring record of 176 points scored) and 3 rookies- Ray Nitschke, Jerry Kramer and Jim Taylor. Had he managed to stay just one more season (1959), he would have been a player on very first team of the ALL-TIME greatest NFL coaching legend who was to have his name properly enshrined forever by having the Super Bowl trophy named after him- VINCE LOMBARDI.
