Leonhard Rauwolf (c1540-1596) was a German physician and botanist.
He was a pupil of Guillaume Rondelet in 1560. He was a physician in Augsburg.
He travelled extensively in the Near East at the same time as Pierre Belon, where he made many observations in particular in botany. He published in 1583 the report of his journey and made the first description of coffee and several unknown plants in Occident.
