Leslie Thomas, OBE (born March 22, 1931 in Newport, Monmouthshire) is a British author. He is best known for his "Virgin Soldiers" novels, which spawned two film versions in 1969 and 1977.
In the New Year's Honours List published 31 December 2004 he was created an OBE for services to Literature.
