Lex Records - Definition

Lex Records is a hip-hop offshoot of the Intelligent Dance Music record label Warp Records. It was set up in 2001, apparently because Warp bosses felt that the market for electronic music wasn't what it used to be.

Like Warp, Lex is seen as an experimental label. Notable artists on Lex include Boom Bip and DJ Danger Mouse.
