This article gives an overview of liberalism in Egypt. It is limited to liberal parties with substantial support, mainly proved by having had a representation in parliament. Introduction

The Liberal Party (Hizb al-Ahrar) and the New Delegation Party (Hizb al-Wafd-al-Jadid) could be considered liberal parties.The latest liberal party "Hizb El Ghad" was founded in Novenber 2004. It means to take liberalism in the country one step further.
