Linda Sue Park (March 25 1960- ) is an author of children's fiction. She won the 1999 Newbery Medal for her novel A Single Shard.
Park was born in Urbana, IL in 1960. She is a Korean-American, and has used her research into her heritage as the setting for her books (A Single Shard and The Kite Fighter are both historical novels set in Korea.)
