LinkTV - Definition and Overview

LinkTV is a free satellite television station in the United States which started as Worldlink TV in December 1999. The station airs translated news programs from the Middle East in a 30-minute program called Mosaic: World News from The Middle East. It also airs English language international news from DW-TV in Germany, as well as various documentaries and world music videos.

The station changed its name to LinkTV in 2003. It was founded by several non-profit groups, including California-based Internews Network and The Center For Documentary Media. It receives no money from satellite providers, but relies on membership drives to pay for operations.

The station can be viewed on Channel 375 on US satellite system DirecTV and 9410 on US satellite system DISH Network.
