This list of United States Highways is grouped by the 1- or 2-digit "parent" highway.
An asterisk * denotes three-digit highways that are not children of the 1- or 2-digit highways they are listed below.
(d) denotes US Highways that have been decommissioned (sometimes replaced by Interstate highways).
(ns) denotes US Highways that were never signed as such.
A handful of 2-digit numbers have never been assigned to a US Highway route [1] (http://www.us-highways.com/us0999.htm).
