Little Neck, Queens - Definition and Overview

Little Neck is a community in Queens, New York. It is the northeast corner of Queens, bordered on the north by Long Island Sound, and on the east by Great Neck, New York in Nassau County. The southern border is the Long Island Expressway. To the west is Douglaston, Queens. It is the last New York City (heading east) stop on the Port Washington line of the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR).

Littleneck (or little neck) clams live in the sound, but are not named for this area. They are the smallest size of quahog clams.
