Liudmila Putina (born January 6, 1957 in Kaliningrad, de jure Soviet-occupied Königsberg, East Prussia) is the wife of Russian President Vladimir Putin. She was originally a stewardess, later she has been a teacher of German in Moscow. She married Vladimir Putin on July 28, 1983, and they have two daughters, Yekaterina (Katya), born 1985, and Maria (born 1986 in Dresden). The daughters have attended the German School in Moscow (Deutsche Schule Moskau).
