A Liver Fluke(Fasciola hepatica) is a trematode (flat worm). It is an endoparasite and causes a disease known as Fascioliasis.
Its first host is a snail. Once the larva leaves the snail, it stays on plants in the passive form. There it is till a herbivorous mammal eats it.
A human can get infected from the infected meat.
