Lloyd Cole (born January 31, 1961) is an English singer and songwriter, known for his role as lead singer of Lloyd Cole and the Commotions from 1984 to 1989 and for is subsequent solo work.

Since 1990 he has released many solo albums, and has collaborated with New York band The Negatives.

In 2004, to mark the 20th anniversary of the release of their critically-acclaimed debut album, Rattlesnakes, Lloyd Cole and the Commotions reformed to perform a one-off, sell-out tour in the UK and Ireland.
