Long View, established in 1907, is located west of Hickory. As a small community, this area is home to the minor league baseball team known as the Hickory Crawdads. The Hickory Regional Airport serves as a shuttle service to Charlotte and beyond. There are approximately 4,300 residents in this community. Longview is in Western Catawba County. Longview is also spread into two counties, CATAWBA and burke.
