The longwave transmitter Topolna is a longwave broadcasting facility near Topolna, Czech.It was built in 1951 and uses as aerials two 257 metre high grounded masts carrying vertical reusen aerials. By the usage of two masts the propagation in East-West direction is optimized in order to allow a good reception in the whole area of Czech and Slovakia.
The transmitter was modernized between 1975 and 1978 and its power was enlarged to 1500 kilowatts.
Today the facility transmits CrO1 - Radiožurnál with a power of 650 kilowatt.
