Los Caifanes is a cult band not only in México, but throughout Latin America.
Caifanes brought out four CDs before breaking up:
- Caifanes vol. 1 (1989)
- El diablito (1990)
- El silencio (1992)
- El nervio del volcán (1994)
They worked with people like Adrian Belew, Cecilia Toussaint and Gustavo Cerati and opened some concerts for The Rolling Stones.
Their most popular songs are "La célula que explota," "Viento," "No dejes que" and "Afuera."
After the breakup of Los Caifanes, lead singer Saul Hernandez and drummer Alfonso André formed the band Jaguares.
