The Lotus 340R is a sports car maunufactured by Lotus Cars.
Overview
The 340R is special, limited edition of the Lotus Elise. Just 340 models were built, and all were sold within a short time of the of its release. It uses a custom built bodyshell with no roof and no doors.
While road-legal in the UK, most of the 340 cars are used for racing, track use, or demonstrations.
Engine
The engine is tweaked version of the Rover K-series engine used in the regular Elise which produces 177bhp. It is the same engine as is used in the hard-top Lotus Exige.
