Lungern is a municipality in the canton of Obwalden in Switzerland. It has a population of 1900 of which 100 are of foreign nationality (2000).
There are 150 local businesses which employ 800 people. 22% of these are in the agricultural sector, 35% in trade and industry, 43% in services.
The main sights of Lungern are: the old church tower (Alter Kirchturm), a neo-Gothic church, and the hamlet Obsee.
