 Spiral Galaxy M77. Image courtesy of NOT. The Spiral Galaxy M77 (also known as Messier Object 77, Messier 77, M77, or NGC 1068) is a spiral galaxy in the Cetus constellation. It was discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1780. M77 is about 60 million light years distant from Earth.
