M85 - Definition

The Lenticular Galaxy M85 (also known as Messier Object 85, Messier 85, M85, or NGC 4382) is a lenticular galaxy in the Coma Berenices constellation. It was discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1781. It is the northmost outlier of the Virgo cluster discovered as of 2004.
