MTV Canada - Definition and Overview

MTV Canada is a Canadian digital television channel; the Canadian version of MTV. It is owned by CHUM Limited and licensed by Viacom. It was launched on October 18, 2001.

One of the license conditions issued to MTV Canada by the CRTC is that it cannot devote more than 10% of its schedule to the airing of music videos.
