Fireworks is a bitmap and vector graphics editor, developed by Macromedia and aimed at web designers. It is designed to integrate easily with other Macromedia products, such as Dreamweaver and Flash, and is part of the Macromedia Studio MX suite.
Fireworks is similar in purpose to the popular Adobe Photoshop, though it does not offer the range and sophistication of features of the latter.
