Mahbubnagar - Definition and Overview

Mahbubnagar (formerly known as Palamooru) is a district of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is 100 km southwest of the capital city Hyderabad.

The current Member of Legislative Assembly is Salguti Swarnasudhakar Reddy. She won the 2004 election from Amarchinta constituency with a majority of 13,327 votes.

The main languages are Telugu, Urdu and Hindi.
