Mail Boxes Etc. is a package services company owned by UPS, it was introduced in 1980 as the company website states "as an alternative to the post office." Originally indepedent, it was bought by UPS in 2001. In 2003, Mail Boxes Etc. and its parent company introduced The UPS Store, which were rebranded MBE stores.
