Maitland River - Definition and Overview

The Maitland River is a river in southwestern Ontario which empties into Lake Huron near the town of Goderich, Ontario. The river is 150 km in length.

The river was named after Sir Peregrine Maitland, who was Lieutenant-Governor of Upper Canada from 1818 to 1828.
