 Malcolm Gladwell - Definition 

Malcolm Gladwell (born 1963) is the author of The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference, one of the bestselling (and hailed as one of the most influential) nonfiction books of the past decade. He is a staff writer for the New Yorker magazine and has published articles there since 1996. Previously he was a science writer and later New York bureau chief for the Washington Post. He recently published his second book, Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking. Most of his writing deals with the larger societal implications of curious scientific results.

Gladwell says he is "half black. (My mother is Jamaican.)" (Blink, p. 84) He was born in England, raised in Canada, and currently lives in New York City.
