Manhwa - Definition and Overview |

Manhwa are Korean comic books. The term sounds similar to the Japanese word "manga" because of linguistic similarities, and manhwa are often confused with the latter in North America due to the marketing policies of the various licensing companies. Manhwa should also not be confused with manhua, Chinese comic books.
