Mantak Chia (b. 1944 in Bangkok) is a teacher, author and self-described healer. He is most well-known for his New Age books on Taoism, Qi Gong and sexuality.
He was born in Bangkok to Chinese parents, and raised as a Christian. He taught in Bangkok and in New York, where he founded the system known as the Healing Tao. His teaching is not without controversy, especially among the Chinese martial art community.
