Manuneedhi Chozan - Definition and Overview

ManuNeedhi Chozan was a King of an ancient Tamil Kingdom Choza. He became famous for his strict quality of Justice. He was a king who was loved by his people. He had a Tower bell in front of his palace for his people. Victims of injustice can come his palace anytime and ring the bell to call help from the King. As a historical fact it is told that the Kings son rode his Chariot erratically and killed a calf under his chariot. As no one cared the mother cow goes to the palace and rings the bell. Manuneedhi chozan comes and gets informed about the incident and orders to kill his son under the chariot. Since no one steps forward to do it he himself does it to his willing son. All this was done to wipe the tears of a mother cow who lost her calf. This made Manuneedhi Chozan a historical icon for TamilNadu.
