Maria Emanuel, Margrave of Meissen (born 1926) is the head of the Royal House of Saxony.
Born in Prüfenig, Germany as son of hereditary prince Friedrich Christian of Saxony, Margrave of Meissen and Isabel Elena, Princess of Thurn und Taxis.
He married at the age of 40 to Princess Anastasia of Anhalt; they have no children, and he has acknowledged as his heir the son of his sister Princess Anan and Robert of Afif, Alexander Prince of Saxony-Gessaphe, married to Princess Giselle of Bavaria, although this decision is disputed by junior branches of the family.
