Marina Mowatt - Definition

Marina Mowatt is the only daughter of HRH Princess Alexandra of Kent and The Rt. Hon. Sir Angus Ogilvy. She was born on 31 July 1966 in Richmond Park, Surrey.

She married Paul Mowatt, a photographer, on 2 February 1990. It was a source of great controversy within the royal family, as Marina was five months pregnant with her first child at the time. The marriage was not a happy one, and ended in divorce seven years later on 15 October 1997. It is alleged that Paul was physically abusive towards his wife.

Marina is the mother of Zenouska Mowatt and Christian Mowatt. She is 36th in the Line of Succession to the British Throne.
