Marinha Grande is a city in Portugal with a population of 30,000 inhabitants. It holds two industrial records: it is Portugal's capital of glass manufacturing, and it is also the European capital for the moulding industry, with 250 companies operating there.
The town is made up of three freguesias : Vieira de Leiria, Marinha Grande, and Moita. It is located right in the middle of Pinhal de Leiria, a national forest, and near exquisite beaches such as Praia da Vieira, Nazare, and Sao Pedro de Moel.
The city is served by train and highway. It is 1hour and 15mn from Lisbon, and only 10mn from Leiria.
