Mark Mancina is a composer, primarily for Hollywood soundtracks, such as his collaboration with Trevor Rabin on the soundtrack for Speed. He wrote much of the music behind Disney's The Lion King, including the Broadway musical. Wearing his progressive rock hat, he produced tracks on the Yes album Union.

He is known to be influenced by the Beatles, favoring their early years.
