 Cary Town Council member Marla Dorrel Marla Dorrel (born October 24, 1951) is a member of the town council of Cary, North Carolina.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Dorrel has lived in Cary since 1989. She holds a bachelor's degree in education and attended Southwest Missouri State University and the University of Missouri. A former teacher and government relations executive, Dorrel has served on the Cary Town Council since 1999 and was re-elected to a second term in 2003. She represents Cary's District D. Dorrel is married and has one stepson. Dorrel is the past president of the Republican Women of Cary.
