The municipality Marnardal in the county of Vest-Agder, Norway,
has 2,216 inhabitants as of January 1, 2004. It is an inland municipality, bordering in the north on Aust-Agder county, Audnedal municipality in the west, Lindesnes, Mandal and Søgne in the South, and Sogndalen and Vennesla in the east.
In 1964, Øyslebø, Laudal and Bjelland municipalities were merged into Marnardal municipality.
The municipality has its name from the river Marna, which runs through it. The name means Marna-valley'. Marna is the best river for salmon-fishing in the south of Norway.
