Martin Schwarzschild - Definition

Martin Schwarzschild (May 31 1912April 10 1997) was a German-American astronomer. He was the son of famed astrophysicist Karl Schwarzschild.

He won the Henry Norris Russell Lectureship and the Henry Draper Medal in 1960, as well as the Bruce Medal in 1965. He won the Gold Medal of the Royal Astronomical Society in 1969.
