Massachusetts Public Interest Research Group (MASSPIRG) is a student activism non-profit organization that is a division of PIRG. It works on a variety of activist activities, including environmental activism, textbook trading on college campuses, and help for the homeless. They also provide internships and work study jobs for students on Massachusetts college campuses.
Along with the Massachusetts Service Alliance, MASSPIRG helped create Massachusetts Community Water Watch, an organization that works specifically on environmental issues. On top of environmental activism, Water Watch also conducts clean ups around waterways, monitors streams, and educates students about the state of the environment. As with MassPIRG, internships and work study are also provided.
