Matamata-Piako (district), New Zealand

The towns of Matamata, Morrinsville and Te Aroha are all within the district, and the council's seat is at Matamata. The main industry in the region is dairy farming.

The 2001 population was 29,469, of whom 6000 lived in Morrinsville, 5900 in Matamata, and 3600 in Te Aroha.
