Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 561 km² (217 mi²). 505 km² (195 mi²) of it is land and 57 km² (22 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 10.11% water.

The racial makeup of the county is 97.65% White, 1.24% Black or African American, 0.21% Native American, 0.18% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.11% from other races, and 0.60% from two or more races. 0.57% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
