Messier 14 - Definition and Overview

Globular Cluster M14 (also known as Messier Object 14, Messier 14, M14, or NGC 6402) is a globular cluster in the Ophiuchus constellation. At a distance of about 30,000 light years, it contains several 100,000 stars. In 1938, a nova appeared in this globular cluster. At its brightness of 7.6 mag it can be easily observed with binoculars.
