The Miami River is a river, approximately 12 miles (19 km) long, on the coast of northwest Oregon in the United States. It drains a mountainous timber-producing region of the Coastal Range west of Portland into Pacific Ocean.
It rises in northern Tillamook County in the Tillamook State Forest and flows southwest, entering the north end of Tillamook Bay approximately 2 miles (3 km) east of Garibaldi. It is one of four rivers, along with the Kilchis, Wilson, and Trask rivers, that flow into Tillamook Bay.
The river descends swiftly from around 1000 ft. (300 m) over its short course near the coast. It does not pass through any communities before reaching the coast. Like the other rivers in the Tillamook watershed, it is known for its prolific salmon runs.
