Michael Beecher (1939 - 1994) was an Australian character actor who initially trained for a career as a diplomat and then did some modelling before finding his true vocation as an actor. Best known from television as the debonair hosptial superintendent, Dr Brian Denham in The Young Doctors; a role he played from the programme's inception in 1976 until leaving the series (shortly before its demise) in 1982. Sometimes credited under his real name of Michael Becher. (Committed suicide??)
