Michael Brecker (born 1949) is an American jazz musician.
Brecker was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1949. As a child he was exposed to the music of jazz musicians such as John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk and Duke Ellington.
Although he has mastered a variety of instruments, Brecker is most known for playing the tenor saxophone.
Michael Brecker is the winner of eleven Grammy awards.
