Michael Heath (computer scientist) - Definition and Overview
Michael T. Heath is one of the leading minds in modern Computer Science and Scientific computing. He currently holds the Fulton Watson Copp Chair in
Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is also the directory of the Department of Energy's Center for the Simulation of Advanced Rockets.
Dr. Heath's work has been instrumental not only in our understanding of numerical analysis and parallel computing, but also in contemporary media, as he was one of the primary consultants for Arthur C Clark's movie 2001: A Space Odyssey.
