The Mid-Norfolk Railway Preservation Trust was established in 1995 with the aim of buying and restoring the then-disused line between the Norfolk market towns of Dereham and Wymondham in Norfolk. At present the line extends between those towns, a distance of 17.5 miles; the line from Dereham to Fakenham is held by the Trust, although the long-term aim is to reach County School.
