Michael Everett Capuano (born January 9 1952), American politician,
has been a Democratic
member of the
United States House of Representatives since 1999, representing the 8th District of Massachusetts. He was born in Somerville, Massachusetts, was educated at Boston College, and served as legal counsel to the joint committee on taxation of the Massachusetts state legislature and as Mayor of Somerville (1990-1998), before entering the House.
