Mike Matheny (born September 22, 1970 in Reynoldsburg, Ohio) is a catcher in Major League Baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals, and is considered one of the best defensive catchers to have ever played in the major leagues. Matheny attended the University of Michigan. He has also played for the Milwaukee Brewers (1994-1998) and the Toronto Blue Jays (1999). Since joining the Cardinals in 2000, Mike has won three Gold Gloves (2000, 2003, 2004) and led his team to the postseason in every year but one (2003).
